The role
We are seeking a highly motivated Master’s student to join our project on oocyte dormancy and lifespan. The selected candidate will benefit from a well-structured and personalized training and mentorship program, including experimental training, regular meetings, seminar attendance, data analysis and presentation.
Project description: We are building a small expert team within Elvan’s Böke Lab at the CRG to tackle fundamental questions in female fertility and oocyte proteostasis. Join us in sunny Barcelona and help us discover how oocyte dormancy and longevity are regulated. We combine state-of-art imaging, tissue culture, biochemisty, and proteomic techniques to investigate various aspects of mouse and human oocyte lifespan and quality.
Who would we like to hire
Must Have
- Have basic laboratory experience (not important in which field)
- Be passionate about science, discovery and its process
- Be a team player and show respect toward all colleagues at the institute
Desirable but not required/ Nice to have
- Experience in oocyte, reproductive, and/or developmental biology
- Experience with tissue culture, mouse work, microscopy and/or genomics/proteomics
Education and training
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in biology, biotechnology or related subject
Languages
- Speak fluent English

Paid internship, 600€/month gross (up to 900€ depending on experience and living expenses)
