The role


A postdoctoral position is available in the lab of Fátima Gebauer to investigate the role of novel RNA binding proteins (RBPs) in melanoma progression. A recent screen in the lab has identified RBPs with potential roles as either tumor suppressors or promoters. The position is available to determine the molecular mechanisms underlying these effects, with a special focus on RBPs involved in translational control and metabolism.

Whom would we like to hire?

  • You hold a PhD In Biomedicine/ Molecular Biology
  • You have at least 5 years of experience in RNA research.
  • You have proven experience in/ with RNA binding proteins
  • You are fluent in English

Desirable but not required

  • You have experience with mouse models and/or bioinformatics analysis of high-throughput data

The Offer

  • Contract duration: Until the 30th of December, 2021
  • Estimated annual gross salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and consistent with our pay scales.
  • Target start date: April 2019
