The Institute

The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is an international biomedical research institute of excellence, based in Barcelona, Spain, with more than 400 scientists from 44 countries. The role

We are seeking for a highly motivated bioinformatician. The hired person will work on the development of bioinformatics tools and pipelines to analyze the multi OMICS data that are produced in the lab. She/he will be working in close collaboration with other group members and will have the opportunity to get also involved in the wet-lab or in the lab/organization.  The ideal candidate would have experience with software development, R/Bioconductor, Python, Perl and knowledge in statistical data analysis. She/he should have strong analytical skills, in addition to creativity, curiosity, enthusiasm, and ability to work in a team.

About the lab

The lab is focused on understanding the role of chromatin-bound metabolic enzymes in epigenetic regulation during aggressive cancer development and progression.

Must Have

  • You hold a PhD in Bioinformatics
  • You have software development capabilities and experience with R/Bioconductor, Python, Perl
  • You have strong analytical skills with robust understanding of statistical concepts

Desirable but not required/ Nice to have

  • ‚ÄčYou have experience analyzing MS/genomics/epigenomics data

Education and training

The Offer

  • Contract duration: 1 year
  • Estimated annual gross salary: Salary is commensurate with qualifications and consistent with our pay scales.
  • Target start date: February, 2020

Selection Process
